We have improved our Dropbox support in Mohiomap by giving you the ability to tag any of your Dropbox contents. If you have a Dropbox account, but have not tried connecting to Mohiomap yet, this would be a perfect time to do so. You can organize your items much more naturally and efficiently by using our tags.

The main benefit of using tags would be that a single item can be tagged with multiple tags simultaneously, as opposed to a folder structure where a file can only be categorized in a single folder.A good example would be organizing your photos. Many people backup their photos on Dropbox, and oftentimes, the filenames are not very descriptive when you copy them from your cameras or phones. Below is an example of a subset of photos that I’ve decided to tag that I copied over from my mobile phone camera. After tagging, it becomes much clearer to navigate even before renaming and putting them into sub-folders.

a folder containing some photos before any tags
‍Same folder after tagging each file

Hover your mouse over the node you want to tag and select tag or drag it across to any existing tags as well:

See below screenshots on adding a new tag, and dragging to another tag for adding an item with an existing tag.

Select tag in the hover menu
Give it a name or select an existing one, press enter to add as a tag, then click 'Save Tags'

In addition to tagging, you can now also rename or move any of your files or folders in your Dropbox. These features are also accessible via the context menu. This allows you to enjoy your whole Dropbox experience within Mohiomap interface. We believe this is only the beginning of much more interesting things to come, and your support and feedback will help us greatly.

*Note: We are working on making these tags searchable, so stay tuned.

Thank you for using Mohiomap.
